Mathematical simulation of carbon polarimeters of protons

The program of the mathematical simulation of the
different polarimeters of protons with carbon-like analyzers, working
in the 1-5 GeV region of energies, is created. At present the carbon
polarimeters are intensively used in the many experiments at the
modern accelerators, therefore the problem of their construction
optimization is significantly actual. Obtained in 1992-1996
experimental data and the increasing of the computing power permit to
resolve this task by the Monte-Carlo simulation methods. Described in
the article the packet of software codes allows to calculate an
analyzing power and an efficiency of polarimeter as dependent on its
geometry, matter of filters, criteria of event selection and the other
parameters, and to optimize them according to the requirements of the
experiment.
